When PublicSquare first launched, it used its blog as an SEO magnet to begin organically driving users from search into the website. While this drove a lot of value for search engine optimization, the content did not highlight resonate and connect with users. With a new focus on quality content and using curation as a revenue driver, we set off to redesign the long form content pages for blog posts, guides, and more in a scalable fashion.
The team analyzed the existing and new content that our marketing teams wanted to provide. With those stakeholder needs in mind, we framed them in user needs and engagement. Building on top of our CMS, we created a brand new page framework for both blog posts and guides. With each, we created a set of components that could be mixed & matched by merchandising & marketing to build an engaging page. This started a new design system of components specifically for long form content.
